The dreaded Groove Gaps

If you buy any furniture from Oak Furniture Land depending on the range you could have this small groove design around the top.

Groove have disappeared

Sometime the wood can expand depending on the environment the unit is in.

Some people like not to have the groove as it can gather dust or debris. If the items are part of a set then you will want them to match and reinstate the groove.

The unit to the right is a original rustic range side table with no gaps and although its not the end of the world I do feel it takes away from the unit when this happens.

The best way I find to sort this is either use a small palm router or just Chisel the grooves out. My preferred way is Chisel but it does take a little longer than the palm router.

The Palm router is quicker but you still takes time to setup and it is very unforgiving if something goes wrong so you need to double and triple check your guides.

Using the Chisel I find a nice wide Chisel and passions is the key
